The week in review:
Well, nothing much happened in my work week, except trying desperately over to request to my superior to let me take Friday off. That having been accomplished on Thursday evening, I met up with Wenwei, Joy, Jeanette and Kaiquan for dinner at the Roti Prata House in Thomson. I went for 2 paper pratas with honey... It was only over dinner that we realised Howe Yuan's birthday slash Christmas dinner was only a week away, and we hadn't had much prepared. Howe Yuan, do not fret, it will be done.
I woke up on Friday morning with the intention of going running, but laziness got the better of me. The day was spent at Ikea with Joy and Howe Yuan, where I bought a shoe rack costing $4.90. This was for the project I was doing as a gift to the gang. Originally I'd seen this shoe rack which looked perfect in the catalogue (it'd had 8 slots for the shoes), but it was $129. Anyway, I didn't see it around, so it was just as well. We then headed to town, where we ended up reading at Borders. The combination of people that day wasn't a usual thing, but I think it worked out quite well.
Saturday was a day I spent at first at Sim Lim Square, trying to find the trivia game 'Friends: The One With All The Trivia'. No such luck; I then met up with Yingzhi outside her music school. We walked down from there to Topman, me buying lots of stuff along the way. When I accompanied Yingzhi to meet up with a couple of girls from choir, they thought I'd been carrying all that shopping for her! Heh.
Today, I went to town again to take advantage of my status as a Kinokuniya Privilege Card Member, and bought 2 Agatha Christies. I'm 3 books short of the complete collection of mystery novels; so excited. Met Howe Yuan after that for dinner, and we had the luck to both be wearing red T-shirts... we then walked around till it was about time to go home. We bumped into Yingzhi again... Haha.
I really dread returning to work tomorrow. It's a hateful place based on just its location and what I'm supposed to do there. Oh, and it doesn't help when I'm reminded who I'm working directly under. Argh.
