read my mind

It's appalling, distasteful and sick. I'm talking about the bomb blasts in the London Tube railway.

To do this just after the city's celebration of winning the honour of hosting the 2012 Olympics is... I don't know, plain sick. To think that some of the people who were anticipating being a part of Olympic history, imagining being a witness to the Olympics held in their city, are now dead. Why do people do this?

Just hoping that there aren't going to be more casualties; I know this is plain hoping. This is just wrong.

Haven't updated in almost a week...

Met up with quite a few of my old classmates last Wednesday evening. We were doing a sort of farewell for Rachel; she's gone to Australia to study. In attendance were Fairoza (affectionately known as 'Fairy'), Shehnaz, Audrey Sim, and the three of us guys. Reva joined us later on. It took us some time to warm up to each other again, but once we did, it was rubbish talk time. I can only remember talking about chastity belts, and how to pee and have your period. This is the kind of crap we talk about sometimes; I wonder when we'll grow to find these topics silly and childish. I talked to Reva about the premise of my story, but it was punctuated by Reva's misunderstanding of what I was explaining. We ended up parting ways with tears from laughing so much.

On Saturday, the tribe met up, with the exception of Joy. Wenwei's back, and we welcomed her with dinner at Café Cartel (oh by the way, we had dinner at Café Cartel on Wednesday too... hmm). The dinner was pretty much like old times, a lot of rubbish talk again, and Jeanette ended up making some new dish by hollowing out a piece of bread and stuffing it with sauces and oils. After that was the show near my house on the big piece of land. We (Yingzhi, Wenwei, Howe Yuan and I) sat on plastic sheets on the grass, chatting and playing with my iPod (hee). We left after Taufik's first performance though; we'd been thinking of leaving already. Overall it was all right.

Sunday saw the same 4 of us meeting at Macritchie Reservoir, heading to the Tree Top Walk sponsored by HSBC. We thought it was weird and unnecessary to include the 'HSBC' in the name. We ended up somewhere along Adam Road though, which was a bit of a puzzle... heh. Took a bus down to Thomson for lunch and a little walk around Thomson Plaza, after which we all went our separate ways.

Met Howe Yuan today to check out his new iPod with colour display, and stroll around Junction 8. Howe Yuan and I have somehow developed this very very strange habit of speaking to each other in the British accent. I don't recall how it started, but now when we talk to each other, the accent just comes out. It's beginning to irk our friends. However, I have to say, we are pretty good at it.

Sorry if this post makes you want to sleep. I'm just feeling uninspired today.
