Gossip: you share information with someone, pour out your grievances, talk about other people you don't like so much. You promise not to divulge this top-secret information, and zip up.
It's good, I guess. You get to vent about things that have been on your mind, things that irritate you about others. But you also get this information that you cannot tell anyone, if you pride yourself in keeping secrets. And I keep secrets. Heh. So it can be hard. My lips are sealed.
